Xyron & Wild Whispers Journal

I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be using the new Wild Whisper paper Home for the Holidays.  Xyron is teaming up with the new Canadian Paper company and they happen to live in my city.  YAY, I am excited to see them doing so well!

I created a Christmas Card Holder.  Somewhere to tuck Christmas cards so they aren't blowing off the mantle onto the floor.   I used Eileen Hull's new Planner Storage & Organizer die for this Christmas Card Holder.  I cut Super Stock Card Stock with the Journal die and ran the Home for the Holidays through the Creative Station.

Wouldn't you know it... I ran the wrong side of paper through the Creative Station.  Oops... easy fix with the Xyron Adhesive Remover I was sent.  I stamped the Home for the Holidays Stamp Set onto the Planner Storage & Organizer.

I thought I would try running the Skates through the Xyron and add some Distress Stickles Clear Rock Candy Dry Glitter... and it worked.  The letter tiles fit easily in the Crea…

Snow Scene Cloche

Sometimes it starts with an idea... like silver rich brush bottle trees.  OH YA IT DOES...
Do you remember the ghostly cloche... well I am repurposing the cloche for Christmas.  Why buy more when I can use it again by simply creating a removable base.

There's the empty cloche and a new cut out base.  Gather a bunch of trees and ink up some glittery paper for die cutting.

More inking and die cutting the Snowman Scene snowman then assemble this adorable snow stopping snowman.  I had some left over gold deers from last year so I snapped them up for a little added gold.

Here's the inspiration... this brushed pewter brush bottle trees.  Once dry brush some distress collage medium coating the trees and coat in distress glitter.

They look like flocked Canadian trees.  Too add more gold I inked up an adornment star with alcohol ink topped to the tree.

Mini Holiday Green cut and the little berry's in more gold.  I rolled up woodgrain paper to look like wee logs.  Then wrapped the b…

Trinket Box Ornament

With the release of the new Book Club the Eileen Hull's Inspiration Team is sharing projects all month.  Make sure to watch all month long.  Today I am sharing my Trinket Box & Frame ornament with a Snowman tucked inside.

My new dies aren't here yet so I had to done fancy cutting for the Trinket Box & Frame.  I layered the Snowman Scene Thinlits on Super Stock Card Stock and Glitter Paper I have on the magnetic platform.

The teeny accessories are inked with distress spray stain.  I popped the layers and made a Gift Tags label.   I used a punch on the top to allow some twine to tie off to hang for an ornament.

I have these little wood blocks I use for dimension and attached to the Snowman.  Attach some seasonal embellishments.

Take a closer peak...

Follow the Inspiration Team along all month long for endless inspiration.  I am looking forward to putting up my tree for this new ornament to hang on.

Black and White Christmas

Who says making Christmas cards this season has to take a long time. With these simple techniques you can easily whip up some cards and make it look like you spent a long time on them.  Loving this non traditional look with Black and White.

Merry & Oh So Bright

Celebrating the season with a little holiday inspiration.  I got this Cigar Box from Xyron all boxed up with some other goodies.  I have always wanted to craft with a cigar box so I thought I would go all festive.

You know the Quote Chips packaging... well it's perfect for holding my glass vintage ornaments.  Just trim the top, fill and snap it back together.  This packaging snuggles in perfectly with the Vignette Box Top, Merry & Bright.

Create a base and top  with chipboard and layer with Christmas Paper using the Creative Station.  Attach the pieces with the Mega Runner to the bottom and lid of the cigar box.  Cut the Cabinet die with more paper and chipboard.

Adhere the pattern paper the Cameo Frame.  Layer some Christmas Ephemera using Distress Collage Medium Crazing and smudge some black soot distress crayon.   Attach the Christmas Paper Dolls gentleman and tree with a Mirrored Star on top.

So festive...

The Merry and Bright is a perfect fit!

Add some lights.
